Tiny Aloha is a fully functional, one-of-a-kind tiny rental — but it may not be for everyone! At just 240 square feet, this cozy space offers a unique living experience designed for guests who enjoy simplicity, the outdoors, and a little adventure. Please read the details below carefully before booking. The photos are also an important part of understanding the layout and scale of the space. Occupancy & Age Requirement Maximum occupancy: 2 guests At least one guest must be 25 years of age or older The Layout Tiny Aloha has two levels, with the kitchen and living area downstairs and the bedroom loft upstairs. The downstairs living area has 7-foot ceilings and includes a small loveseat and a pub-style table with stools — perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal indoors when the weather isn't cooperating. The stairs are full-sized but narrow and somewhat steeper than standard stairs. There are also some low-clearance areas. Guests over approximately 6'2" may need to duck while going up the stairs and while moving around the upstairs loft. The loft has full standing headroom primarily in the center. The upstairs bedroom features a full-size queen bed and a small sitting area with a natural cedar shelf. Bathroom & Shower One of Tiny Aloha's most unique features is the bathroom setup. The toilet is semi-private. It has a door, but it is located beneath the stairwell, which is not completely enclosed. There is no indoor shower. Instead, you'll have your own private outdoor shower with hot and cold water, tucked beneath the stairs and enclosed with privacy louvers. If an indoor shower is important to you, Tiny Aloha may not be the right fit. Kitchen The kitchen is fully functional and equipped for simple meals, although there is no traditional stove or oven. Instead, you'll have: Gas grill Microwave Dual hot plate Toaster Toaster oven Half-size refrigerator with freezer Small coffee maker Blender Kitchen utensils and basic cooking supplies The refrigerator is approximately half the size of a standard home refrigerator — roughly twice the size of a typical college dorm refrigerator. The kitchen also features a full-size farmhouse sink with a modern faucet, plenty of counter space and cabinetry, and a beautiful live-edge cedar upper shelf. There are hooks throughout the space for conveniently hanging towels, clothing, and other items. Sleeping & Climate When the weather is comfortable, we encourage you to open the windows and enjoy the natural ocean breeze. For hot or humid weather, a mini-split air conditioner is located upstairs. All windows have room-darkening blinds, and the front door has a privacy pull-down blind. Outdoor Living The outdoor space is really where Tiny Aloha shines. The property features a multi-level deck surrounded by tropical foliage, with plenty of room to relax, dine, or simply enjoy the surroundings. You'll find: Lounge chairs on the deck Outdoor dining table and chairs on the upper deck Private outdoor hot/cold shower Multiple areas for relaxing and enjoying the tropical setting Tiny Aloha is small, but the outdoor living space gives you room to spread out and enjoy the beauty around you. Must be 25 or older to rent. Please be considerate of your neighbors Pets are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee - $125 per pet. Maximum occupancy including children is limited to 2 people. Renter is responsible for any and all damages. There are no refunds for storms or hurricanes so we encourage traveler insurance. In the event that a house party, smoking or unregistered guest are found you will be asked to leave the premises immediately with no refund of monies paid. Illegal activity of any kind is strictly prohibited on the property. Suspected illegal activity may be reported to Airbnb and local law enforcement and may result in immediate termination of your stay without a refund, as permitted by Airbnb policies and applicable law. Please do not move furniture or remove wall décor. Please do not unplug or disable the Wi-Fi equipment, smoke detectors, or exterior security cameras. Wifi only (no cable/TV) - Wifi service is shared with Aloha properties. It is not guaranteed and can be slower than other high speed internet - we live on an island and utilities aren't always reliable. Air conditioning, appliances and utilities (internet/cable) are not guaranteed. Repairs will be made as soon as possible. No refund due to failure. The Outer Banks is a coastal environment, meaning it can be very humid and bugs can be prolific. These include mosquitos, spiders, flies, beetles, palmetto bugs and others. They can enter the house, especially when the doors and/or windows are left open. The house is treated regularly for pests, but we can't control a few entering the house, thus there are no refunds. Checkout is 10:00 AM unless we've agreed otherwise in advance. Unauthorized late checkouts that delay our cleaning schedule may incur a $50 for every 30 minutes late. Free late check out and check in may be available IF the schedule allows - please send a message to inquire. We understand accidents happen and things get left behind. Items will be kept in lost & found for 30 days. We can accommodate the return shipment of your item for $10 handling plus shipping cost.
