Oceanside child friendly family cottage. Open floor plan with screened porch and large outside shower. Home is located in a quiet community with a short walk to the beach access. You will need to cross 2 dunes to get to the beach. Newly updated smart TV's with Roku sticks in each bedroom as well as great room; new flooring in great room and kitchen; new refrigerator and beverage-cooler; and new washer and dryer.

House Rules

Guests must bring their own beach towels and beach chairs! Starter roll of toilet paper is provided in each bathroom as well as a starter roll of paper towels. High chair and pack & play on premises DO NOT bring bath towels to the beach. Outdoor Charcoal Grill. Charcoal and fluid not included. Please be safe. Use grill in yard or driveway to avoid any potential fire hazards. Do not grill under the house. This is a huge fire hazard! NO PARTIES! This is a family friendly cottage and community. Be respectful! NO PETS!! NO SMOKING!! Property manager lives in community and will be available and visible. Trash bin must be place at the street with opening toward the street on Monday and Thursday evening. Check out is strictly at 10 am. All trash must be removed and placed in outside bin. All dishes must be washed and put away including the dishwasher before check out All lights and fans must be turned off All shades pulled closed. Feel free to utilize anything in the pantry or refrigerator. You may leave unopened non perishables if you wish.

A short walk to the beach access but you will need to walk over 2 dunes to access the ocean. Beach chairs, beach towels and umbrellas are NOT provided. However, chair and umbrella rentals can be found at: Ocean Atlantic Rentals of Hatteras Duck Village Outfitters in Salvo

Quiet, family oriented community with direct ocean access. You must walk over 2 dunes to reach the ocean. If the sound side is more your speed, it is a short walk via the bike path on NC 12. Salvo Day park is a short drive or a 10-15 minute walk.

Cant wait to stay here again. Owner and property manager stayed in touch to be sure arrival and departures went well. During a small storm and road issues gave clear info on possible issues.

My girlfriend and I rented this beach house out in early September 2025. It was one of the nicest vacations we’ve ever had. The house is located within a very short walk from the beach. My lady and I walked to the beach which had one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. The water was also surprisingly warm for September. The house was clean, very spacious, they had card games and board games for us to play. The house also has a lovely deck that you can sit on and enjoy the weather. It’s located in a very nice area, there was an arcade nearby where we played games and also played mini golf. There were were some restaurants nearby and also a deli with some extremely good sandwiches. I would 100% recommend this places and I would love to come back in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cheryl’s place in Salvo. Check-in was straight forward, the property manager was available if we needed her and the house was clean and felt like home. Quiet neighborhood which we got to know some of the locals who were very friendly. Not sure when we will return to the Outer Banks due to the lengthy drive, but would like for Cheryl’s place again no doubt!

This is our third year in a row staying at Cheryl's house. It works perfect for us. It's a quiet street which I appreciate. We love sitting out on the deck and stargazing at night. We feel at home here. Cheryl and Donna (house manager) are responsive and always available. The home is well organized and has everything we need. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Within 2.5 miles is everything we need to get through the week-market, deli, ice cream, restaurants, ice, etc. The beach is a short walk with no busy streets to cross.

Stayed here for a week with some girlfriends and we had an absolute blast. The home was so inviting and cozy. 5 minute walk to the clean beach and beautiful scenery. Would stay here again.
