Your private front entrance into unit #1 is the brown/glass door on the left side of the home. The 10' ceilings make the retreat feel incredibly spacious with lots of natural lighting. It includes a very comfortable Ghost King mattress, a coffee maker, a mini fridge/freezer, a microwave (this room does NOT have a full kitchen/oven/stove), a ceiling fan, an additional fan, and linens. The custom-tiled bathroom has a solid-surface double vanity and a large glass-enclosed tile shower. Please note this apartment does not have a TV, so unplug, unwind and enjoy the island and all its beauty. The shared outdoor space includes the front lanai with comfortable furniture, the enclosed outdoor shower, and the waterfront pier on the Pamlico Sound. Please note: The room itself and deck do not have views of the sound although we are soundfront. The HVAC is centrally controlled and automatically adjusts for comfortable temperatures throughout the day and evening. When it comes to beach access, the options are plentiful. A 10-minute walk from the house to the beach across the street or a 10-minute drive north takes you to Rodanthe beach access, which offers a bathhouse, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and an oceanfront gazebo. For those looking for a more adventurous beach experience, Ramp 25 provides year-round 4WD access to the beaches south of Salvo. Whether you're an angler, a surfer, or someone who enjoys the serenity of coastal life, this home provides convenient access to various recreational activities. This sound front retreat is a great home base for visiting the Outer Banks and Hatteras Island. It is off Highway 12 but hidden among giant live oaks, eastern cedars, and other natural fauna. Self-check-in is easy with an electronic keypad door lock. Two private ensuites for rent are accessed on either side of the front door. We reside with our two Labradoodles, Bentley and Porscha, in the remainder of the home. We enjoy traveling and may or may not be home during your visit. The pier provides access to the Pamlico Sound for stunning sunsets and abundant water activities. Only the first platform to the pier is accessible for views of the sound. Adults only.

The outdoor shower and water hose for removing sand are on the home's lower left side. There are plenty of towel hooks in the outdoor shower for beach towels. Thanks for not using the deck railings The front lanai is a shared space, so please refrain from smoking on the property.
