Your private front entrance into unit #1 is the brown/glass door on the right side of the home. The 10' ceilings make the retreat feel incredibly spacious. It includes a very comfortable Ghost King mattress, a coffee maker, a mini fridge/freezer, a microwave (the room does NOT have a full kitchen/oven/stove) , a ceiling fan, an additional fan, and linens. The custom-tiled bathroom has a solid-surface double vanity and a large glass-enclosed tile shower. Please note this apartment does not have a TV, so unplug, unwind and enjoy the island and all its beauty. The shared outdoor space includes the front lanai with comfortable furniture, the enclosed outdoor shower, and the pier. Please note there is no view of the sound from the apartments deck. You must walk behind the home to the pier for sound access and views. The HVAC is centrally controlled and automatically adjusts for comfortable temperatures throughout the day and evening. When it comes to beach access, the options are plentiful. A 10-minute walk from the house to the beach across the street or a 10-minute drive north takes you to Rodanthe beach access, which offers a bathhouse, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and an oceanfront gazebo. For those looking for a more adventurous beach experience, Ramp 25 provides year-round 4WD access to the beaches south of Salvo. Whether you're an angler, a surfer, or someone who enjoys the serenity of coastal life, this home provides convenient access to various recreational activities. This sound front retreat is a great home base for visiting the Outer Banks and Hatteras Island. It is off Highway 12 but hidden among giant live oaks, eastern cedars, and other natural fauna. Self-check-in is easy with an electronic keypad door lock. This is one of two private en-suite apartments for rent that are accessed on either side of the front door. We reside with our two Labradoodles, Bentley and Porscha, in the remainder of the home. We enjoy traveling and may or may not be home during your visit. The pier provides access to the Pamlico Sound for stunning sunsets and abundant water activities. Please keep in mind the long pier is not accessible, only the landing near the shoreline.
